How About Orange

Tour of our mini home!

Birthday vacation at the beach

Coronado was lovely... I would love to win the lotto and live there haha.

Aww wedding photos.

Our anniversary was a month ago, but still... Best day of my life :)

More NYC photos...

Here are a few photos from New York... the new Yankee Stadium

Post from Wednesday...

More updates later... but this is our room at East Village Bed and Coffee (which I love). We have two dogs on our level and share a living area, kitchen and bathroom. The last two nights we were one floor up in a cute little French-themed room.

Yesterday we wandered in SoHo and Little Italy. I caved in and bought new Sauconys since my Jack Purcells are not meant for long days of walking and taking the train. Lunch at Les Halles since I love Anthony Bourdain. Went to a Yankees game at the new Yankees Stadium. It was sad seeing the old one all dark and empty. After the game we stopped by Sam's adorable apartment and hung out for a while.

Today we took the bus to Bleecker to go to Marc by Marc Jacobs, but it was closed. Got breakfast here http://www.cafecluny.com/gallery.htm. Yummy and super cute. Then heading to MoMA which was AWESOME. The photograph exhibit and millions of Pollacks were my favorites.

Happy One Year Wedding Anniversary <3

New York is great... Being married to Rob is the best. :)
He surprised me by booking us a room at the Hotel on Rivington last instead of the B&B we are at for the rest of the week. So modern and swanky, I loved it!
Fun fun trip so far. We at at Perilla for our anniversary dinner and then went to Asscat with Sam (Upright Citizens Bregade) It was so funny. A chick from 30 Rock and a dude from SNL were in it. Lots of laughs. Late night eats at Innoteca by the hotel... best panini ever. Still to do: lots of museums, yummy dinners, drinks and dancing, Yankees game at the new stadium, and Brooklyn.

pretty things...

I love hand me downs! Peek at the crazy lovely chandelier my aunt is sending our way!

Best Weekend Ever

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HOUSE! Today is one year since we bought our wee little house. We have done a lot... painted, landscaping in process, new bathroom things, furniture, new floors. Lots more to do but I still adore my house and all 900 square feet of it!

Today was hours of yard work. My dad came over and the three of us weeded, mowed, blew leaves and raked. Stella was good and chilled in her crate in the yard watching us. Also fixed our front yard landscape lights and got a new little cactus for the front.

Oh and the yellow bike is Rob's new baby... his Schwinn Madison.

Bikes and sick doggys

Our weekend consisted of: dog park, Robin's show at the Dodge, Hanny's for dinner, brunch at Barrio Cafe, and early morning Target shopping for Orla Kiely. Robot and Stella had a wonderful time at the Rose Mofford dog park. The Echo Canyon one is even better... definitely going back Thursday on my day off. Having few girl friends left and not going out a lot is fine, just different. I love my weekends.

I also love my husband. I got a new bike today. LOVE IT! It's the same as below, but that's not my bike. I will have to take a photo.

Stella is sick today so I am keeping an eye on her. We almost went to the E-Vet but she seems better. Perhaps a tummy bug.

Mooshy Face

My dog needs haircut...

She is currently on my lap making it hard to type, gnawing on a rawhide bone.
Weekend is nice so far, even though I work tomorrow. Went to Pedro's for dinner. Came home to a vase of flowers and a card from Rob. We are seeing Robin's show tomorrow at the Dodge Theater and getting brunch on Sunday. Monday is no work, which makes up for having to go in tomorrow.

2 months until rob takes me on our one year anniversary trip to NYC for Tribeca Film Festival!

New floors, new rug, and football

Lookit! This room is finally coming together.

In other news, we got our tickets to the game Sunday. Sorry for the backwards picture.

So we are nearly done moving everything we own onto the back patio for the floor tear-out tomorrow. Look what I discovered under our carpet... Eww. This is the front entrance... we have blue linoleum under the carpet in the second bedroom. Our floor guy didn't seem concerned so hopefully it doesn't lengthen the install or bust our budget. Yay.
